• And the part nobody mentions in the brochure: you still have to get your belongings there.

That last point is the one that hurts. A van you do not own. A friend with a bad back. Two trips instead of one because you underestimated the volume. Parking outside your building, then parking again at the facility. Then you repeat the whole exercise in reverse when you want your things back.
