Not every bag problem is a two-hour one. If you have suitcases or boxes you need stored in Luxembourg for weeks or months, this is the guide for you. Storagelux stores luggage on a one-month minimum with free door-to-door pickup, so you are not hauling anything to a locker or a self-storage unit. It fits the situations that actually keep bags piling up here: a student heading home for the summer, an expat between flats, a long trip or secondment abroad, or seasonal kit you will not touch until next season. When month-plus luggage storage makes sense
Storagelux is built for storing bags and suitcases over weeks and months, not for a few hours between trains. The most common reasons people store luggage with us:
- Students going home for the summer. Store your suitcases and boxes over the break instead of shipping them or paying for an empty room.
- Expats between flats. The job has started, the boxes have arrived, and the permanent place is a few weeks or months away.
- A long trip, sabbatical or secondment. You are away from Luxembourg for months and would rather not keep paying for space to hold bags you are not using.
- Seasonal items. Winter or summer kit, sports gear and wardrobe overflow you only need half the year.
- A move with a gap. You have left one home and the next is not ready. We hold the bags in between and bring them back on the day you move in.
Not left-luggage: what Storagelux is and is not
There are two very different things people mean by luggage storage, and they solve different problems.
Lockers and drop-off services (Bounce, Stasher, station lockers): you walk a bag to a cafe or the station, pay per bag per day, and collect it later the same day. That is the right choice if you need a bag held for a few hours while you walk around the city. Storagelux is not that, and we would happily point you to a locker for a same-day drop.
Door-to-door storage (what Storagelux does) is for a month or longer. We collect from wherever you are, keep your things in a climate-controlled Luxembourg warehouse, and bring them back on the day you choose. No haul to a locker, no per-bag day rate, one-month minimum.
Rule of thumb: a few hours and you are downtown, use a locker. Weeks or months, and you would rather not carry anything, that is us.
How month-plus luggage storage works
Booking is the same as our pickup flow for any storage in Luxembourg: tell us where to collect, when, and how many boxes or bags. We arrive on the agreed slot, take what you have, store it safely, and bring it back when you ask. We confirm by the next working day, and there is no payment until pickup. The monthly plan is €20.00 per box per month with a one-month minimum; store for six months or more and the long-term plan drops to €16.00 per box per month with free return delivery. Storing suitcases and larger items — not just boxes
People sometimes assume "storage" means cardboard boxes only. It does not. Suitcases, wardrobe bags, sports equipment, ski gear and bicycles all fit our standard flow. If you are storing larger or unusual items, mention them on the booking form and we will quote separately if needed.
For expats arriving early
This is the request we get most often outside the tourist circuit. New job, accommodation between leases, an Airbnb that does not let you accumulate ten boxes. Storagelux collects from your temporary stay, holds your things while the permanent flat is sorted, and delivers when you have keys. Out-of-area pickups just outside the Luxembourg District (Belvaux, Sanem and similar) are available on request with a small surcharge — useful if your temporary stay is outside the city.

Collection from Findel airport and Luxembourg station
Storagelux collects from any address in the Luxembourg District, and that includes Luxembourg Findel Airport and Luxembourg railway station. If you are arriving with more than you can carry into temporary accommodation, or leaving the country and want the bulk of your things gone before you travel, we can meet you there rather than at a flat.
Two things to plan around, because they decide whether this works for you:
- Collections run on Tuesdays and Fridays. This is a booked service, not a desk you walk up to. If you land at 22:00 on a Sunday, we cannot take your bags that night — book the Tuesday and keep them with you until then.
- One month minimum. If you are flying out on Friday and back the following Wednesday, a station locker is the right answer and it will cost you far less. We would rather say so.
Where it does work well: a student flying home for the summer who does not want to pay for an empty room; a contractor leaving for a three-month posting; someone arriving in Luxembourg to start a job whose flat is not ready and who does not want four suitcases in a hotel room for six weeks.
A walk-in location for short stays — what we are working towards
We are working towards a staffed walk-in location for genuinely short-term storage, the kind measured in hours and days rather than months, near the transport links where people actually need it.
It does not exist yet. Today the minimum is one month and everything is collected by van. We are not going to pretend otherwise and have you arrive at a door that isn't there.
If short-stay storage is what you need, tell us — say roughly when and for how long. We are using those replies to decide where to put it and whether the demand justifies the lease. If it opens, the people who wrote in hear first.
How to book
To store your luggage for a month or more:
- Count what you have. Even a rough number of bags or boxes lets us quote and schedule.
- Tell us your dates. When you want it collected, and roughly when you will need it back. We plan the pickup and delivery around them.
- Book a pickup, or message us on WhatsApp. We confirm by the next working day.
