Last-minute storage emergencies are more common in Luxembourg than people admit — and they are very fixable. Here is exactly what to do when a move falls through and you need short-term storage fast.
When people need emergency storage in Luxembourg
Almost every last-minute storage request we get traces back to one of a few situations:
- The moving company cancelled or no-showed. You are left holding boxes with a hard deadline — a flight, a lease end, a handover date.
- You are leaving the country in days. Relocating to Cyprus, Denmark, the UK — and you need somewhere to keep your things while the international leg is arranged.
- A property sale or lease fell through at the last minute. The new place is not ready, but you have to be out of the old one.
- Renovation or damage made a room unusable overnight. A leak, a delayed contractor, a sudden need to clear space.
In each case the problem is the same: you need things gone now, safely, without signing up for a long contract.
How fast can Storagelux actually collect?
Storagelux is door-to-door, so there is no van to rent and no warehouse to drive to. You book a pickup, we come to your address, collect your boxes, and store them. For urgent moves we confirm your booking by the next working day and prioritise short-notice pickups wherever our schedule allows. If you are working to a flight date, tell us the deadline up front and we will work backwards from it.
If your boxes are not packed yet, we can bring boxes with us — so a same-week clearance is realistic even if you are starting from scratch.
Short-term plans — you are not locked in
Emergency storage should not mean a long commitment. Our monthly plan is €14.99 per box per month with a one-month minimum, and there is no payment until pickup. That makes a single bridging month — while you sort travel, a new lease, or a delayed completion — completely straightforward. If the gap turns out to be longer, you can roll month to month or switch to a cheaper 12-month plan later.

Outside Luxembourg City? Usually still fine
Our standard door-to-door area is the Luxembourg District, but we regularly arrange one-off pickups just outside it — places like Belvaux or Sanem — for a small surcharge. If you are not sure whether we reach you, just ask; an out-of-area pickup is almost always possible with a little notice.
